WellPlan: why I started it and how it works

What WellPlan is

WellPlan is the platform I founded to keep a small business’s marketing, bookings and messages in one place, so inquiries get captured and followed up instead of buried. It lives at wellplan.io. It isn’t the Halliburton WELLPLAN, which is engineering software for the oil and gas industry.

Why I started WellPlan

I kept meeting small businesses, mostly clinics, coaches and service businesses, whose customers were spread across separate tools for marketing, bookings and messages, each paid for on its own. Leads came in through one door and the reply came from another, when it came at all.

I didn’t want to build them another app. I wanted one place where a lead arrives, gets a reply and gets a next step.

How WellPlan sorts new inquiries (AI lead qualification)

When an inquiry comes in, it lands in one pipeline with where it came from. From there, follow-up can ask the questions that tell you whether someone is a real fit, tag them by what they need, and remind the ones who go quiet. WellPlan also has an AI assistant that can reply to new inquiries.

This matters most with ad leads. A form that anyone can fill in gets junk: wrong numbers, people who don’t remember filling it in, and bots. Asking one real question before anyone books is the simplest filter there is.

How WellPlan is built

I built and led the marketing site. The industry pages are generated from one data file, so adding a new industry is a data change, not a new page. The repo is public on GitHub as Khaliddxx/wellplan-main-web.

On the product side, I worked on billing that lets users switch on extra services when they need them, like SMS, WhatsApp, phone numbers, email verification and AI usage, and pay for what they use.

What I paused in WellPlan

I built a restaurant pack: a QR code for each customer, a coupon redemption page, birthday and holiday messages that sent themselves, and a subdomain for each restaurant. It’s dormant now.

Small businesses that get inquiries every week and want every one of them answered and followed up, without logging into several tools to do it.
